Vikings OC Bill Musgrave says QB Christian Ponder is much more comfortable in the offense this year than he was last. That's not surprising considering Ponder was a rookie with a shortened offseason last year. But it's still nice to hear that he's made the expected Year 2 jump. Ponder posted mediocre numbers in 2011, but we liked his arm strength and mobility. With RB Adrian Peterson coming off a torn ACL, the Vikings figure to put the ball in the air more often this season. That could make Ponder a sneaky QB2 option.
