Matt Forte won’t holdout into regular season

Bears RB Matt Forte skipped OTAs and minicamp as he continues to angle for a new contract.  And if he doesn't have a new deal in hand, he could hold out of training camp.  But Forte concedes that he'll be on the field for the Bears come Week 1, regardless of his contract status.  "I don't think I really have a choice, do I?" he said. "Yeah, I'll be here."  Forte was slapped with the $7.7 million franchise tag earlier this offseason and has until July 16th to reach a new long-term deal with the Bears.  While it's nice to hear he'll be out there for the season-opener, missed training camp time would be a concern.  We've seen plenty of guys struggle on the heels of a holdout.  And the presence of RB Michael Bush puts Forte on even shakier ground.
