Reflections on Fatherhood With Kevin and Wiande Everett

The Everett Family

Former Buffalo Bill’s tight end and University of Miami standout Kevin Everett and his family have been through a lot in the last 7 years. They have overcome obstacles no one can truly understand. Kevin’s NFL career ending abruptly has made him a living testament to defying the odds and being steadfast on faith. Americans and Bills fans alike are honored to see Kevin sharing the joys of living to be an amazing father.

Pro Player Insider’s Wiande Everett (Kevin’s wife) caught up with him yesterday to hear his reflections about fatherhood.

Happy Father’s Day for Everett’s HOUSE!

Wiande Everett: What does it mean to be a dad?

Kevin Everett: First and for most being a father is teaching my children the Word of Jesus. Secondly, being a good husband to my wife and kids. Also loving my family with all my heart and protecting them with my life. Always making sure I am doing the right thing and positive things. By loving God the most and the rest falls in place.

WE: If you could pick 3 things you have enjoyed the most since being a father what would they be?

KE:  Hold up…need some energy right now! (Kevin chugs of energy drink and chuckles)

KE:  Watching my kids grow up seeing changes in them every day. Just the time in the past always wanting kids. I used to see my friends having kids and now I have my own…that’s the funny part.  But mainly I enjoy being all together now, as a family.

The Everett kids chime in about Kevin as a father…

WE:  What are somethings you like about your daddy?

Famatta (3years old): I like it when he reads to me. I like it when he goes outside with us.

WE: What about you, Faith? What are some things you like about daddy?

Faith (2 years old): I like to spend time with daddy.

WE:  I know you do!
