Toby Gerhart could “carry the load early on”

Vikings HC Leslie Frazier ackowledged that  "there’s a very good chance [RB Toby Gerhart] is going to have to really carry the load early on.”  It's a reminder that RB Adrian Peterson isn't a lock to be ready for the start of the season.  AP is currently being overdrafted with an ADP in the mid-2nd round.  If he's sidelined early on, Gerhart could produce RB2 numbers.  He averaged 94 total yards with 2 scores in the 4 games Peterson missed last year.
