DeVier Posey is an athletic receiver with good hands and the skills to kill a defense slowly with his route running and ball skills. He has been known to run a 4.50 in the 40 yard dash and he ran track in high school.
Posey had a great combine and naturally has the skills to be an NFL wide receiver. While he missed most of his senior season he was still drafted in the 3rd round by the Houston Texans.
“It’s just been a whirlwind, things have happened really fast and just for me to be out here (the NFLPA Rookie Premiere event) in Cali and for me to be around all these other great rookies, it’s just…a blessing,” said Posey.
He is also using the opportunity to learn a thing or two from the veteran players that were on hand to show support for the new draft class.
”You’re always trying to pick their brains anytime you’re in their presence. You wanna know the things they had to go through and their transition into the league and, you know, things that I should be on the lookout for.”
Posey is a solid route runner who is going to have a chance to make it in this league with the lack of depth Houston has at WR. If Posey works hard and uses his natural ability he has what it takes to mark his mark in the NFL.
