ILB Bradie James signed with the Texans on Thursday, reportedly for a mere $890,000. That shows just how little interest the 31-year-old drew as an unrestricted free agent. James played fewer than half the Cowboys' defensive snaps last year. In Houston, he figures to compete with Darryl Sharpton for the starting ILB job next to Brian Cushing. The winner there will still be a part-time player, which is why 2011 starter DeMeco Ryans became too expensive to keep.
