The Buffalo Bills today announced that WR Stevie Johnson has signed a contract extension with the team.
Johnson led the Bills in receiving for the second straight year in 2011, catching 76 passes for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns. Along with a career-high 82 receptions for 1,073 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2010, Johnson became the first player in franchise history to record consecutive 1,000 receiving yard campaigns.
A 6-2, 207-pound Kentucky product, Johnson entered the NFL as a seventh-round (224th overall) draft pick of the Bills in 2008. Johnson has totaled 170 catches for 2,189 yards and 19 touchdowns in 48 games with 30 starts in his four-year career.
