Both Luck and RGIII Show Star Power

The Colts and Rams are probably smiling today as both Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III excelled in their skills drills, proving that they are rightfully ranked at the top of draft.

Griffin ran the 40-yard dash in a blazing 4.41 seconds, cementing his title as the draft’s fastest quarterback. While he decided not to throw, his dash time alone cements RGIII as at least the second pick in this year’s draft.

Luck was no slouch either, running an official 4.69 for the 40-yard dash. That time was very close to Cam Newton’s time last year. In fact, Luck drew much comparison to Newton, as his broad jump of 10 feet 4 inches was just two inches below Newton’s. Luck displayed even more physical agility with a vertical jump of 36 inches, better than Newton’s 35 inches last year.

The debate between Luck and RGIII became that much more unclear today as both displayed great athleticism. The Colts have a tough decision to make based on the direction they want their team to go. If they want to commit to the old school traditional offense, then Luck is the way to go. If they want to change their whole team dynamic into a high-powered, electrifying offense, RGIII would be the better pick. Regardless, the Rams are happy campers as it is inevitable teams like the Browns and Redskins are blowing up their phones for trades as we speak.
