The Dallas Cowboys pulled out a close win over the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving, in a game that featured five lead changes and came down to the absolute last second. The Dolphins three-game winning streak came to an end, but it took everything that Tony Romo and the Cowboys could muster to pull out the win.
The Dolphins jumped out early, and the Cowboys fought back in the second quarter to take the lead at halftime, 10-6. Miami came back in the third quarter to take the lead 16-10 on a 27-yard field goal by Shayne Graham, followed by a 35-yard TD pass from Matt Moore to Brandon Marshall.
The fourth quarter saw 3 lead changes, as the Cowboys pulled ahead on an 18-yard TD pass from Tony Romo to Laurent Robinson. Miami fought back to take the lead with 7:18 remaining on a 23-yard field goal, setting up an opportunity for Romo to play hero with a final drive.
Romo led the Cowboys down the field, behind some strong power running by DeMarco Murray to set up the game winning field goal. Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey hit the game winning 28-yard field goal as time expired.
Romo finished with 226 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INT, and Murray led the way on the ground for the Cowboys with 22 rushes for 87 yards.
Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore turned in another solid performance, as he has done for the past four weeks during the Dolphins three-game winning streak. Moore finished with 288 yards passing and 1 TD., and a passing efficiency rating of 99.5. Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall was the primary target for their air attack, and finished with 103 yards receiving and a TD.
