As we get late in the season, injuries become more of an issue and the Patriots injury report this week includes some key players.
Pro Bowl WR Wes Welker (knee) is probable for Monday night’s game against the Chiefs. “I feel all right,” Welker said Saturday. “I think everybody goes through different things during the season and you have to manage them and get ready the best you can.”
Pro Bowl CB Devin McCourty returned to limited practice Saturday but is doubtful for the Monday night game because of a separated shoulder. Assuming he doesn’t suit up, he’ll become the latest injured Patriot to return for the week’s final practice before being inactive. Antwaun Molden and Philip Adams appear to be next in line to fill in against the Chiefs.
S Patrick Chung is officially questionable for the Monday night game. We’ve seen no strong indication that he’s expected to play, just that his status is uncertain after he missed Week 10. Chung has been a key player in the Patriots secondary this season.
RB Kevin Faulk (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Monday night’s game against the Chiefs. He’s expected to play.
