Fines have been handed out by the NFL to a few players as a result of the on field fighting and roughness during Sunday’s game between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears
On the Lions side: quarterback Matt Stafford drew a $7,500 for grabbing the helmet of Bears defensive back D.J. Moore; defensive tackle Nick Fairley was hit with a $15,ooo fine for pushing Bears quarterback Jay Cutler to the ground; defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch was fined $7,500 for unnecessary roughness against Bears running back Matt Forte; and guard Rob Sims was hit $7,500 for a late tackle.
On the Bears side: Moore was fined $15,000 for striking back at Stafford and being ejected from the game, and receiver Earl Bennett received a $10,000 fine for wearing orange cleats.
It’s important to point out that no fines were issued to Lions’ DT Ndamukong Suh.
