In an NFL version of “I’m rubber and you’re glue,” Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush and safety Yeremiah Bell provided each other with a true 360 degree evaluation of each other and the team. And for the 0-6 Dolphins, there was some tough love involved.
Bush fired the first volley, saying after the loss Sunday, when the team blew a 15-0 lead in the last 3 minutes, “This team stinks.”
Bell responded in an interview published Thursday, saying of Bush, “He stinks. That shouldn’t be said around this locker room.”
Bush came back today and stood by his comments saying, “I do stink. We all stink. When it comes to 0-6, everybody stinks.”
Bell backed off a bit on his statement, saying, “Maybe I worded it wrong.”
But Bush stood by his comments, “We’ve all, in some way, shape or form have not been good enough, and that’s what I meant with those comments.”
“I don’t care if it’s the front-desk secretary – she ain’t doing a good enough job. Everybody’s in this thing together.”
