Starting his season four with the Washington Redskins Jordan Reed has to watch his health and injuries. Last season Reed played in 14 games and had a total of 952 yards and 11 TDs. After the season ended there was talk about Jordan not making the cut for the upcoming season. After being resigned, Reed has been on his A game. Over the three seasons he has been with the Redskins, he has slowly improved and Gruden is proud of where he is today.
Although Reed wasn’t a part of the top five tight ends last year he has nothing but potential to improve and be consistent with his stat increases. He missed out of the first preseason game due to a thumb injury during training the week before. The 26-year-old has plenty of time to hone his skills and increase his strength and speed. Reed should aim for the top five and watch small injuries that might keep him out of the game. His thumb was good enough to play in the preseason opener but Gruden kept him out so it could completely heal in time for regular season.
Reed’s career yardage is 1,916 with a total of 14 TDs. His second year was his worst year but he redeemed himself in last season and earned the right to stay on the team. He looks like a force to be reckoned with this upcoming season. He can still block at the point of attack and knows how to get where he’s needed. Continuing to build on the great season he had before will be the best thing for him.
