Dear ladies, we can all pretty much relate on how uncomfortable the beach can be when it’s hot and humid. Our hair frizzes up, we can feel the foundation leaking off of our faces (if you like to wear makeup at the beach), and continue to deal with simple inconveniences that annoy us during the time we’re supposed to be relaxing and feeling our best. Thankfully these inconveniences can easily be overcome with these beach-friendly products and tips I’ve gathered that’ll benefit you for a lifetime.

  1. For some of us, the humidity can definitely disrupt the look of our natural hair. To restore that natural beauty, try using a frizz-ease product. My favorite is the “JOHN FRIEDA Frizz Ease Extra Strength Hair Serum.” $9.99
  1. If you plan to glam for the beach and you’re worried about your makeup melting halfway through the day, try MAC’S “Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation” Another one of my favorites; lasting, promising and can also be used as a concealer if you’d like. $33.00
  1. Don’t forget sunscreen under that foundation! “Tarte to go™ tarteguard 30 sunscreen lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30.” A non-chemical sunscreen to help protect, moisturize, brighten and re-invigorate skin. $12
  1. Tired of sand getting on your blanket, food, or drinks? Next time, bring along a fitted sheet. Use items like your bags to keep each corner steady and in place. This will prevent sand from getting anywhere on your blanket and have a designated spot for your bags for whenever you need something. To top it all off, you can lay comfortably to get that sun tan going! Here’s an example:

  1. If you plan on bringing that MAC “Russian Red” it will most likely melt due to the heat. So reconsider and bring that Sephora “Always Red” cream lip stain – or any lip stain of your choice. It’s already in liquid form so no worries about opening your lipstick to find it completely ruined.
  1. The 3 S’s: Sunglasses, Sandals and Sunhats! 99.9 percent of the time when you go to the beach it’s sunny. Sunglasses are a must; but what about those crucial tan lines on your face afterwards? Well, hopefully you keep that stylish sunhat on throughout your entire beach day to protect your face much as possible from tan lines. Last but not least – wear your most comfortable sandals. While getting dressed, resist the attempt to wear those cute wedges because it’ll go perfect with your outfit. After an hour, you’ll most likely regret it. Wear your most suitable and cute sandals to last you all day.
  1. Want to achieve that natural-beach waves for you hair? Walk with your favorite kind of moose or curling cream – easily found at any drug store. When you’re all done in the water and ready to relax and dry off, wrap your hair in a towel to get the excess water drained out. After you unwrap your hair, use either moose or curling cream to scrunch your hair. Then you can either tie it up for 45 minutes to achieve exotic waves or let it air dry for more natural waves. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cantu-For-Natural-Hair-Coconut-Curling-Cream-12-oz/22211253
  1. One of the major paradoxes on the beach are those pesky mosquitos that we’re all aware of, but aren’t always aware when they attack us. We go home only to find ourselves itching the most random parts on our bodies. Majority of us will walk with bug spray, but if you’re not a fan of the chemicals contained in certain products (or want to try something more natural), here’s a natural DIY way of keeping bugs away: Homemade essential oils for bugs
