Cedric Benson suspension reduced to 1 game

Bengals RB Cedric Benson’s suspension has been reduced from 3 games to 1 game and a fine. Cincinnati is off this week, so Ced-Ben will serve the ban for the team’s Week 8 game against the Seahawks. It’s a tough break for those hoping to use backup RB Bernard Scott. Not only will they only get him for 1 game, but it’ll be against the league’s 5th-ranked defense against RBs. Benson, meanwhile, will resume lead back duties when he returns in Week 9.
