Buffalo’s C.J. Spiller played exclusively at WR in Sunday’s game against the Giants. He caught 5 balls for 39 yards, finishing 4th on the team with 5 targets. “CJ did a very good job and I can see WR being his role for the short term,” HC Chan Gailey said on Monday. With RB Fred Jackson enjoying a career-year, there’s no room for Spiller in Buffalo’s backfield. It looks like they want to find other ways to get the ball into his hands, though, and sticking him in the slot makes sense with WRs Roscoe Parrish and Donald Jones out.
