Greg Aiello, spokesperson for the NFL, announced via Twitter that Representatives Darrell Issa (R-Cal.) and Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) were able to help the NFL and the NFLPA make progress in implementing HGH testing.
In his tweet Aiello said “Congressmen Issa + Cummings announce NFL-NFLPA to begin HGH testing ASAP…should start as early next week.”
NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell were on Capitol Hill today to discuss the status of the testing program. The NFLPA had expressed concern about the validation of the test levels used by WADA, and requested additional data before approving the testing methods.
