BOWE AND CHARLES MOVE UP ALL-TIME SCRIMMAGE YARDS LIST: Bowe’s 93 receiving yards on the day give him a total of 6,908 scrimmage yards in his career, moving him into sole possession of sixth place on the Chiefs all-time scrimmage yards chart. Charles’ 98 rushing yards and 20 receiving yards gave him 118 scrimmage yards on the day for a total of 8,460 in his career, which moves him into second place on that list.

BOWE NOTCHES SEASON-HIGH CATCHES AND YARDS: WR Dwayne Bowe had a season-high eight catches, totaling a season-high 93 yards in today’s contest.

 

CHARLES SCORES ON SEASON-LONG RUN: RB Jamaal Charles ran in a season-long 39-yard rush for a touchdown giving him six rushing TDs and eight total TDs in 2014. The touchdown gives him 27 total TDs in the last two seasons to lead the NFL.

SHERMAN MAKES BIG PLAY ON SPECIAL TEAMS: FB Anthony Sherman forced and recovered a fumble by CB Leodis McKelvin on a punt return in the fourth quarter. This was his second forced fumble on special teams this season. He forced a fumble on a kickoff return vs. Tennessee (9/7).

 

SMITH SCORES FIRST TOUCHDOWN OF THE SEASON: QB Alex Smith scored the game-winning touchdown and his first of the season on an eight-yard run in the fourth quarter, which marked his sixth career rushing TD and first since Oct. 20, 2013 vs. Houston.

 

JENKINS CATCHES SEASON-LONG FROM SMITH: WR A.J. Jenkins caught a 27-yard pass from QB Alex Smith, marking a season-long reception.

 

PARKER FORCES FUMBLE AT GOAL LINE: CB Ron Parker forced a fumble by RB Bryce Brown, which was not recovered and then knocked out of the back of the end zone resulting in a touchback. This was his first forced fumble this season, second of his career.

 

Parker also had a career-high three passes defensed – two of which were recorded inside the red zone on four plays late in the fourth-quarter as the Bills attempted to score.

 

POE SACKS ORTON: DT Dontari Poe sacked Bills QB Kyle Orton for a loss of six yards, picking up his fourth sack this season (-14.5 yards). He has 8.5 sacks (-45.0 yards) in his three-year career.

 

SANTOS CONTINUES STREAK: K Cairo Santos converted a 36-yard field in the game, giving him 10 consecutive field goals made, to push his season total to 12 of 14 (85.7%). He also converted two PATs in the contest for five total points. Santos has a team-high 61 points.

 

Santos’ 12 made field goals places him in a tie for fourth for most field goals made by a rookie in a single season.

COLQUITT PUTS ONE INSIDE THE 20: P Dustin Colquitt booted eight punts for 368 yards (46.0 gross, 37.3 net), landing one punt inside the 20-yard line. Both numbers represent single-game highs dating back to Oct. 13, 2013 when Colquitt punted eight times for 392 yards vs. Oakland. His eight punts tie for the sixth-most in his career, and his 368 yards are tied for 12th-most in his career.

 

Colquitt has landed 19 of his 40 punts this season inside the 20-yard line. He has now landed 304 punts inside the 20-yard line in his career, the most in Chiefs history. His 304 punts inside the 20 rank 10th in NFL history for punts inside the 20-yard line. Colquitt’s 304 punts inside the 20 are the second-most of any active NFL player behind Houston P Shane Lechler, who has 371.
