There are certain events in the world of sports that transcend the sport themselves, that become a critical part of our culture for both football fans and non-fans alike. These are the watershed events that can define a player, a season, or even a career. One of these rare events happened today. Tom Brady got a haircut.
Before you roll your eyes and scoff, let me point out a couple of other important pieces of information.
Tom Brady threw four interceptions in last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. They Patriots hadn’t lost to the Bills since the 2003 season, when they lost 31-0 in a September game in which Brady also threw 4 interceptions.
That year, the Patriots started 2-2 before winning their last 12 games, and ultimately went on to win Super Bowl XXXVIII.
And that season, Tom Brady had SHORT HAIR.
OK, now you can roll your eyes and scoff.
