This statement seems priceless, not to mention the fact that the Cowboys haven’t been to the playoffs since 2009 and is attempting to rebuild their image. Before the Cowboys even think about post season they need to fix their defensive front, with injuries hurting their key players they had one of the worst defensive as a team in the league.
Jones remains optimistic about the future of the franchise and explained why adding additional games could be more exciting for fans and apparent for his team: “I can’t help but make the case for the Cowboys on this issue,” Jones said. “There’s no doubt that we have less percentage playoff teams than most sports do, and when you go through the competitiveness that we have and how close our teams really are competitively then you can make a real good case for more of them qualifying for the playoffs.”
The playoff expansions looks to be a promising fit, but there have been some concerns and criticism from players and the NFLPA. The players will consider playoff expansion only if the various workers compensation issues are addressed.
