LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have re-signed unrestricted free agent cornerback E.J. Biggers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Biggers (6-0, 185) was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the seventh round (217th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. For his career, he has appeared in 61 regular season games with 29 starts, compiling 186 tackles (154 solo), 30 passes defensed, four interceptions, two fumbles forced and one sack. Last season, Biggers appeared in 16 regular season games with five starts for the Redskins.
Biggers, 26, played collegiately at Western Michigan from 2005-08, appearing in 46 games with 40 starts and earned second-team All-MAC as a senior.
Edjuan “E.J.” Biggers was born on June 13, 1987, in Miami. He attended the city’s North Miami Beach H.S., where he was named Dade County Player of the Year as a senior in 2004.
