Bradford Looking Good for Monday

Rams’ QB Sam Bradford (finger) was able to practice Wednesday after  “a contusion or bruise” on the index finger of his throwing hand..  “He threw the ball pretty well,” WR Mike Sims-Walker said afterwards.  Bradford is on track to start Monday night’s game against the Giants.

The offensive injuries understandably drew the headlines Sunday for the Rams.

Rams RB Steven Jackson (quad) did not practice today and will not play next week.  It is unlikely that he will be ready for Week 3.  A declaration like this so early in the week doesn’t bode well for Steve Jax’s availability in future weeks.

However, the most serious ailment might have struck a defender, though. CB Ronald Bartell suffered multiple small fractures to his neck, which could keep him out the rest of the season. CB Justin King will step into the lineup for him. King had a big day in the opener but was helped by a sack as the Rams blitzed their DBs a lot.

Meanwhile, CB Bradley Fletcher is day-to-day with a minor toe injury. It’s good news that he wasn’t hurt bad, but we’ll see if he’s affected.
