The Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Green Bay Packers 20-19. In a night in which the defending Super Bowl champions could manage only 122 yards of total offense, including 42 passing yards, an undrafted rookie linebacker stole the show.
Vic So’oto, who was fighting for a roster spot, had a career game – returning an interception for a 33 yard touchdown, recorded 1 ½ sacks and forced a fumble. Asked about his performance and the potential of making the team, the undrafted rookie said, “I bet you it would feel like being drafted in the first round, I guess.”
The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 17-13, and although the Colts signed Kerry Collins as a backup in case Peyton Manning isn’t available for the opener, it was back up Dan Orlovsky who looked like the go to guy, as he went 10 of 18 for 178 yards and a touchdown.
