With Murray Out, Cowboys Add Morris, Jones to Carry Workload

Rookie DeMarco Murray has been a bright spot for the Dallas Cowboys at running back this season, totally 897 yards and 3 100-yard games, including one 253-yard effort against the Rams.  But with Murray on the IR with a broken ankle, the Cowboys will look to Felix Jones to carry the load, and added veteran Sammy Morris to give them depth in the backfield.

“”He knows the offense, and his ability to block and do the kinds of things away from the ball, not just as a running back, that can be productive running,” Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said.

On Felix Jones, Jerry said, “He’s a back that gives us a chance any time he has the ball in his hands, and he’ll have a big workload.”
