The NFL has fined Detroit Lions defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch $7,500 for hitting Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte while he was on the ground, a league source said, according to ESPN.
This is likely to be the first of multiple fines coming out of the game, as officials are still reviewing the game. They have a lot to review, including the fourth-quarter melee between the teams that resulted in the ejection of Bears CB D.J. Moore.
In other fine news, Bears WR Earl Bennett was fined $10,000 for wearing orange cleats in the game. Apparently, orange cleats are worse than hitting a player on the ground. To be fair, it was the second game Bennett wore orange cleats, so he is a multiple offender.
