Tracy Porter Re-signs with Da Bears

 

LAKE FOREST, IL — The Chicago Bears re-signed CB Tracy Porter to a three-year contract.

Porter has collected 325 tackles, 11 interceptions – with three returned for touchdowns – 74 pass breakups, 2.5 sacks, 17 TFLs, five forced fumbles and three rumble recoveries in 82 career contests (73 starts) with the New Orleans Saints (2008-11), Denver Broncos (2012), Oakland Raiders (2013), Washington Redskins (2014) and Chicago Bears (2015).

He has also started six postseason contests, including Super Bowl XLIV where he sealed the Saints victory over the Colts when he returned a Peyton Manning interception 74-yards for a score. Porter is one of four players in NFL history to record a fourth quarter interception in the conference title game and the Super Bowl in the same season (vs. MIN, 1/24/10; at IND, 2/7/10). Including the playoffs, 11 of Porter’s 13 career INTs have come in the fourth quarter.

In his first season with the Bears in 2015, Porter appeared in 14 contests starting 13, recording 38 tackles, one interception, a team and career-high 22 pass break-ups (according to coaches reviewed statistics) and one forced fumble.
