Topps Trading Cards Checks Their “Fan-dom” to the Side

“We have a very good relationship, we work with them hand in hand. We help the players get an understanding of building their brand and how to help them as they come into the NFL Rookies manage to drive the business so we reached a mutual beneficial relationship,” said Topps Marketing Director, Marc Stephens.

Year after year they show up because they understand that Rookies drive the business. “Rookies drive the business as far as trading cards are concerned. We get them to come in before the season starts and the OTA’s so they can the cards for the upcoming season so fans can start collecting the rookie trading cards,” Stephens goes on to say.

A Giants fan himself, Stephens was excited to see QB Odell Beckham. “I have to keep my fan-dom in check here. I can let people know I’m a Giants fan but I keep it professional.”

He also went on to say, “Khalil Mack is sitting here right now. He is a beast, so I definitely wanted some cards signed by him. Everybody here is just awesome.”

This year the future star players are signing the new 2014 Inception Cards. The cards deliver the first high-end NFL trading cards of the season having all-new, beautifully updated designs. TOPPS Football vintage and retro cards come out in August, and were being signed as well. The vintage cards look older but have new faces on them and are definitely a TOPPS product to watch for throughout the year.
