Texans 23 Jets 17

The New York Jets hung around against the undefeated Texans but a late Mark Sanchez interception helped Houston beat the Jets for the first time in their history, 23-17.

Arian Foster lead the Texans on offense rushing for over 150 yards and scoring a touchdown. On defense, JJ Watt dominated the Jets offense with a sack, three tipped passes, and six total tackles. Owen Daniels also scored a touchdown for the Texans.

The Jets emptied out the playbook in their attempt to keep up with the Texans. The Jets faked a punt, tried a fake onside kick, and tried defensive back Antonio Cromartie at wide receiver.

Joe McKnight returned a Texans kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to cut the Texans lead to 6 points midway through the third quarter but they would get no closer. Mark Sanchez struggled again completing less than 50% of his passes and throwing 2 interceptions. Tim Tebow’s impact was marginal again as Tebow only attempted one pass (it was dropped) and ran the ball five times for 19 yards.

Next week, the Texans (5-0) are home to play the Packers and the Jets (2-3) are home to play Andrew Luck and the Colts.
