Matt Stafford looks to have a healthy throwing shoulder after taking part in the University of Georgia’s spring game Saturday. Stafford and other former Georgia quarterbacks Eric Zeier, David Greene and D.J. Shockley competed against one another in various throwing competitions.
Stafford threw three of five balls through a tire from about 20 yards out and then tossed 12-yard outs and longer routes to spectators.
The former top pick in the NFL draft and current Detroit Lion injured his shoulder last season. The Lions have expressed confidence in Stafford’s ability to return at full health for next season. Stafford has increased his throwing over the last month.
