Raji on Giants O-Line: “Not the Toughest”

At a time of year when everyone is looking for bulletin board material, Packers Pro Bowl nose tackle B.J. Raji was not at all shy about giving the Giants some, as he suggested that their offensive line is soft.

Not saying they’re soft, but it’s not the toughest group I have been against,” said Raji, a former New York City native.

“I played [the Giants’ offensive line] once this year and once last year,” Raji added, referring to a pair of Green Bay victories. “I can only judge from my vantage point up front — not necessarily the most physical. Their backs are pretty physical, but it’s not the toughest [offensive line].”

The Giants have not run the ball well all season, ranking last in the league in rushing averaging only 89 yards per game, which would support Raji’s statements.  But the Gaints racked up 172 rushing yards in their playoff win against the Falcons, so maybe their hitting their stride at the right time.  Or maybe the Falcons defensive line is even softer.
