NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reported Tuesday night that LB Paul Posluszny agreed to a 6-year deal with the Jaguars. La Canfora said that Posluszny had a tough time leaving Buffalo — which "fought hard" for him — but couldn’t pass on a return to a 4-3 scheme. Poz will slot in as the MLB in Jacksonville, a role he filled for the Bills before their 2010 move to a 3-4 front. The bad news for his value is that the Jags tallied the fewest plays in the league on defense over the past 3 seasons. A shaky-looking offense could create more opportunities, but the Jags should at least continue to run the ball efficiently. Posluszny will produce solid tackle numbers, but the ceiling looks lower than it did in Buffalo. This should also mean that free-agent Kirk Morrison will move on. Morrison started at MLB for the Jags last year following a trade from Oakland. He underwhelmed.
