Cam Newton put on a show scoring a hat-trick worth of rushing touchdowns and threw for another as the Panthers cruised past the Buccaneers. Newton broke Steve Grogan’s record for rushing touchdowns in a season by a quarterback with his 13th rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Buccaneers struggled without starting quarterback Josh Freeman and their defense hasn’t been able to stop anyone from running since the injury to Gerald McCoy a month ago.
