The Carolina Panthers got two early touchdown passes from rookie quarterback Cam Newton and never looked back. The Panthers were in control all day and Deangelo Williams added a fourth quarter touchdown run to give the Panthers the upset victory. The Texans stout defense didn’t seem the same without coordinator Wade Phillips who had surgery earlier in the week and wasn’t available. The Texans fall to 10-4 and no longer control their own destiny for one of the two first round byes in the AFC playoffs. Arian Foster rushed for 109 yards in a loss for the Texans.
