Bucs RB LeGarrette Blount is looking to become a more well-rounded back this season. He picked up an impressive 1,007 yards on 201 carries last year, but only caught 5 balls for 14 yards. He’s been working with the JUGS machine all offseason and has reportedly shown vast improvement early in camp. "We like what he’s shown us so far," OC Greg Olson said. "With LeGarrette, we would like to make him more of an every-down back as opposed to just a first-down back. He’s learning protections, he’s learning the route concepts, and learning where he’s going to be when he gets out on a route." With the departure of RB Cadillac Williams, Tampa is looking for someone to step up and fill that pass-catching role. While Blount won’t fill that entire gap, he could easily double or triple his receiving production this year.
