It’s been a couple weeks full of travel for Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton who took in The Masters in Augusta, Ga. With his father Byron and then attended the Purdue spring game earlier this week. Orton talked fondly of his travels.
“It’s a great deal,” he said of The Masters. “The course is awesome, the players are awesome and everybody says it’s a religious experience and if you’re a golfer, you’re really right.”
Orton is eager to get back on the field once the NFL lockout is resolved and the 2011 season begins. He’ll be building on a 2010 campaign that saw him complete 58.8 percent of his passes for 3,653 yards and 20 touchdowns.
“I’m coming off the best year I’ve ever had and I’m excited to get back on the field,” Orton said. “I’m feeling the best in the offseason that I’ve had in a long time.”
