Chiefs QB Kyle Orton (finger) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Jets. He practiced a bit this week but isn’t ready for game-action. QB Tyler Palko gets another start in a brutal matchup.
Cowboys WR Laurent Robinson (shoulder) returned to practice on Friday. He’s listed as questionable but fully expects to play against the Giants on Sunday night. “It felt good to be running around and it felt good to be back with the guys,” Robinson said. “The shoulder felt good. I’m ready to roll for Sunday.”
Cowboys WR Miles Austin (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Giants. Austin is fully expected to play though.
An MRI confirmed a high-ankle sprain for Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger. He was sporting a walking boot on Friday. In most cases, a player would have little to no chance of playing the next week with this injury. But we’re talking about Big Ben here. He played through the injury last night and has an extra 4 days to get ready for next Monday night’s game against the 49ers. Consider him questionable for that one, and check back throughout next week for updates.
49ers WR Braylon Edwards (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
Bucs QB Josh Freeman (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. He was officially limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, but he threw quite a bit. “He went out there and practiced today and looked good,” HC Raheem Morris said Friday. “He threw the ball a lot more.” Freeman is expected to start against Jacksonville this weekend. There’s upside here in a plus matchup, but Freeman’s bum shoulder also makes him plenty risky.
Patriots WR Wes Welker was limited in practice all week. He’s on the injury report with a knee, but he also had his wrist in a soft cast early this week. He’s listed as probable, though, meaning he’s in no danger of missing Sunday’s game against the Redskins.
