The Buffalo Bills may not be taking part in the post season, but rookie quarterback Josh Allen made a statement to conclude the first chapter of his career. Allen and the Bills smacked the Dolphins right in the blowhole while cruising to a 42-17 victory in week 17.
The 22-year-old threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns while adding 95 yards and two scores on the ground – making him the second rookie quarterback in history to throw for three touchdowns and rush for two touchdowns in the same game. Allen is also the first Bills quarterback to win Offensive Player of the Week since Drew Bledsoe in 2002. In 2002, Josh was only six years old!
A 6-10 record is never anything to write home about, but when your rookie quarterback can close out the season with a big win over a division rival, while also earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week, well friends, that’s what you call the right direction.
