Jon Beason misses Thursday practice

Panthers MLB Jon Beason missed practice on Thursday with foot soreness. The team says it still expects him to play Sunday, but this is obviously not a good sign. Beason missed most of training camp with supposed Achilles tendinitis. A corrected diagnosis, however, brought recent minor surgery for a bone bruise. Even if he plays on Sunday, Beason is clearly not all the way back. He'll be a very risky IDP. If he sits, Dan Connor would get the start.
