Baltimore Ravens newly wide receiver Steve Smith is anticipating the match up between the Ravens and the Carolina Panthers next season. Just a few months back Smith was released after a hard decision with management that had a lot of fans scratching their heads.
The release was sudden, but Baltimore had picked up Smith just a few weeks after the release. Smith is a very opinionated person and described how he felt about the surprising turn of events. He had descriptively explained what was going to happen if he had the opportunity to play his former team.”There would be blood and guts spilled says Smith.”
Even Smith’s teammate Jacoby Jones took noticed that Smith looked anxious to play the Panthers; “I just think that he got a chip on his shoulder, he’s ready to work I can tell you that,” Jones said Thursday on NFL Network’s “NFL AM.” “He hasn’t mentioned it, but I can just see it in his face,” Jones said. “I think he’s got it saved in his ‘notes’ in his phone — he’s been looking’ at it for weeks.”
On his twitter page Smith was joking around with his former teammate DeAngelo Williams about the upcoming game; both of them were making witty comments about the game, but more less in a competitive spirit.
Smith is a competitor, dedicated, and motivated by meaningless chatter. This will only fuel him up to be a factor in this game. Look out for a great game between these two teams, but in Smith’s mind it’s him verses the whole Panther’s organization.
