The Indianapolis Colts kept their “perfect” season alive, as the fell to the Jaguars 17-3, as the Jags improved their record to 3-6 while the Colts dropped to 0-10.
The Colts were tied at the half and looked like they had a chance, but the game slipped away in the second half as the Jags defense remained tight and their offense generated just enough.
Offensively, the only highlight was Maurice Jones Drew, who finished the day with 25 carries for 114 yards and 1 TD, but that was enough for the victory. Rookie QB Blaine Gabbert ended 14 of 21 for 118 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT, but as weak as those numbers were, he completely outplayed his rivals on the Colts.
Curtis Painter went 13 of 19 for 94 yards with no TDs and 2 INTs and was relieved by Dan Orlovsky who went 7 of 10 for 67 yards, with no TDs or INTs. The Colts also managed a total of 84 yards rushing.
The Colts seem well on their way to a perfect 0-16 season, as this looked like one of the most winnable games they had left on the schedule. Coming up, they face the Panthers and Cam Newton, followed by the Patriots, the Ravens and the Titans. Looks like the long season continues.
