Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is certainly one of the elite wide receivers in the NFL right now, but like any elite athlete, his target is always a little higher.
Mike Sando of ESPN pointed out that Fitzgerald was one of 4 players with over 150 targeted passes in 2011, and he had only 1 drop. The other 3 had 22 drops total, or about 7 each. To be fair, 7 drops in 150 targets is pretty good, and only one drop is spectacular. But not good enough for Fitzgerald.
His response via Twitter was, “1 too many.”
That’s the kind of dedication to perfection that will put him in the Hall of Fame one day.
