Tim Tebow will be go into next year as the starter, according to team executive and Hall-of-Fame quarterback John Elway.
“Tim has earned the right to be the starting quarterback going into training camp next year,” John Elway said. “He made some good strides.”
Tebow has been the most controversial player in the NFL, both on and off the football field. On the field, his believes say he “just wins” while his detractors point to his completion percentage and the fact that the Broncos rely heavily on running the ball to shore up his deficiencies.
Elway has pointed out Tebow’s shortcomings and where he needs to improve, but this vote of confidence is a good position as the Broncos go into the offseason. It’s not to say that there won’t be any competition in camp, but replacing Tebow at quarterback isn’t job one for the Broncos.
