After missing all of OTAs, minicamp, and training camp, Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe has some catching up to do in new OC Brian Daboll’s offense. “He’s a whole training camp behind,” HC Romeo Crennel said. “There’s a lot. New offense, new terminology – there’s lots of stuff that he has to learn.” QB Matt Cassel doesn’t sound overly concerned. “I know that the coaching staff and I will do everything we can to get him up to speed as fast as we can," Cassel said. "We have great coaches here and a lot of people dedicated to helping people learn…I’m sure Dwayne is up for the challenge and he’ll do a great job trying to learn the new playbook.” Bowe still has 3 weeks before the season-opener, and Crennel even hinted that he may play in the team’s 3rd preseason game. Bowe passed his physical and conditioning test upon arriving at Chiefs headquarters, so he was obviously staying in shape while he was away. He remains a reliable WR2 option for your fantasy squad.
