Dexter McCluster a good fit in KC offense

Chiefs insider Josh Looney notes that RB Dexter McCluster is the best candidate to take over RB Jamaal Charles' role.  "McCluster is the choice that aligns most similar to Charles’ skill sets," Looney writes. "Though McCluster lacks the breakaway speed possessed by Charles, he’s just as shifty and can fit into many of the same personnel packages."  This was our first thought after J-Chaz went down.  McCluster is woefully undersized and probably wouldn't be able to handle more than 15 total touches per game.  But he's much a much better fit -- and much more explosive -- than RB Thomas Jones.  We'll be keeping a close on Kansas City's game this weekend to see how the backfield shakes out.
