The Bears have fired HC Lovie Smith. It's the first firing that wasn't fully expected. Smith's squads have been consistently mediocre lately. They've reached the postseason just once in the past 6 years. Look for Chicago to pursue an offensive-minded HC this offseason. It should be good news for QB Jay Cutler and WR Brandon Marshall.
