With the New York Jets season done early, the speculation on what offseason changes will be made has begun, and GM Mike Tannenbaum was non-committal about the potential return of Plaxico Burress, who signed a one year contract for this season.
“He did a great job for us,” Tannenbaum said. “I thought his blocking, he did a really good job with that. Obviously, he helped us in the red zone. . . . And he was a real pro.
“He’s really an interesting guy and he was a really good teammate. Free agency is a couple of months away, and we’ll look at everything.”
Burress caught 45 passes for 612 yards this season, with 8 TDs.
