Denver S Brian Dawkins told The Denver Post this week that he knows he’ll have to take a significant pay cut to stick around this year. The veteran also seems prepared to do so. The Broncos spent 2nd- and 4th-round picks on S Rahim Moore and S Quinton Carter this spring. The previous regime also drafted 2 safeties in 2009. Even if Dawkins returns, look for some young guys to get worked in. It will probably be tough for any Denver S to deliver consistent IDP value.
