The Packers backfield just got a little more crowded. Green Bay added Hawaii RB Alex Green with the 96th pick of the draft. At 6’0 and 219 pounds, he’s a powerful downhill runner. But his best skill is his receiving ability. RB Brandon Jackson is a free-agent, and neither RB James Starks nor RB Ryan Grant is particularly adept at catching the ball out of the backfield. We could see Green emerging as the Packers’ 3rd-down back this year.
