Redskins to Hold Fan Appreciation Day

The Washington Redskins announced Wednesday that they will hold their annual Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday August 4th. Admission and parking is free for all Redskins fans.

Gates for the event will open at 9 a.m. with the parking lots opening an hour earlier at 8 a.m. The team recommends that fans arrive early to be able to enjoy all the festivities as 29,000 fans showed up last year.

Those festivities performances by the Redskins Marching Band and Cheerleaders. Voice of the Redskins will welcome the crowd, opportunities to take pictures with the Redskins Superbowl trophies, win t-shirts from the cheerleaders t-shirt toss, Executive Vice President/ead Coach Mike Shanahan will address fans prior to practice.

In addition every Redskins player and coach will sign autographs, take pictures and mingle with fans. Fans will also have the chance to win prizes, such as autographed helmets, footballs and jerseys.

As for food there drinks and snacks will be available to purchase on site by fans.

Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on during practice, overlooking the practice fields. Picnic tables will also be available
