The New England Patriots scored 17 of the first 20 points scored in their game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and never looked back. The Patriots defeated the Dolphins 23-16.
The Patriots got a Stevan Ridley touchdown run, a Tom Brady to Wes Welker touchdown pass, and three Stephen Gostkowski field goals to outlast a game Dolphins team.
The Dolphins could have worked their way back into the game but consistently had drives stall forcing Dan Carpenter field goals. Ryan Tannehill also had a costly fumble.
The Dolphins never make it easy for the Patriots in Miami, but on Sunday they didn’t do enough to win the game.
Next week, the Patriots (9-3) will host the Texans on Monday Night Football, and the Dolphins (5-7) will host the 49ers.
